EVERYONE CAN SEE HOW THIS ENDS, IF THEY LOOK

Let us be clear, the future is not positive. Climate, population, geo politics, conflict, war, habitat loss, biodiversity loss, biome loss, rising sea temperatures, melting ice caps, forever chemicals now so wide spread that drinking the rain is not recommended. What do we use to water or crops or livestock?
The slow and steady decline is now beginning to accelerate, compounding. What will this transpire towards, what will the future look like?. Starvation. war, nuclear and conventional. Violent weather, more frequently. Disease, pandemic. Resources will continue to be fought over, by everyone, everywhere.
States will become more autocratic, dictatorial, controlled. Privacy will be slowly decreased. Technology will facilitate this. It mostly already has.
How long do we have you ask? 2025 to 2050 is what the UN likes to use as a timeframe for probable conclusion to the climate question. Lost of other factors could speed this time line - nuclear war being one.
A generation is now moving into the 20’s who believe the earth holds no future for climatic recovery, that we are all doomed, so what is the point? This malaise towards the future is already showing up in the work force. People do not give a dame about something they believe there is no way of preventing. Children of Men kind of thing, except not babies, it is the earths ability to support human life that is gone.
So as survivalists what can we do, and what is the point of surviving in a world that is dying.
We prepare by learning way to sustain ourselves. We train our ability to adapt and modify, to find a way.
We can leave the over populated urban centres and relocate to more remote locations. Will this solve the problems we face? No, bit it will insulate you from them for an extended period of time at the least.
We can lay up stores of food, and water, medicine, and tools. We can do this so that we have options if the trucks stop rolling, the stores stay close, or nothing gets made anymore. Again, will it change the course of the future, no, but it will buy us sometime to see how the future does unfold after SHFT.
We can learn to exist in a world without technology.
We can learn how to fight, how to defend ourselves. With weapons, and with our arms and legs.
We can teach others with like minded views, concerns. Share your knowledge. Not everyone will want to do it. Some will think you are crazy. Build a network.
Things will get worse. Learning how to be self-reliant, self-sufficient, and self-preservationist now is about all we can really do about what awaits us all.
